Another Melee ensued, but this one Cole wanted to honestly stay away from it, he was tired, really tired. He was bent over, breathing as hard as he could, his hands on his knee as he looked around him. The fight was getting even more intense as the elves were extremely adamant about keeping the crystal away from the aspirants.
And the aspirants themselves too were tiring, they were at a stalemate, even Cole himself knew that it would by a mutual assured destruction like situation. Or even worse they might lose, the elves had the potency of their skills and levels reduced here, while the humans were not using even half the full potential of their bodies in the other universe.
However the bodies the elves had was here was the same bodies in the other universe. It was stronger even if the humans were tearing them apart like paper. And they had a lot of those bodies to keep throwing, somehow even with the portal closed, the dungeon was still finding a way to keep spitting out elvers and throwing it at the aspirants as they tried to fight through to get to the dungeon core.
ραndαsnοvεl.cοm This was what was going to defeat them, they did not have nearly enough people to match the elves, well they did but none of the human world council soldiers could do much damage. But if they had been able to get through, then where the fuck was the rest of the aspirants?
Cole had barely finished that train of thoughts when out of the entrance of the dungeon the remaining aspirants who had been left behind the dome, rushed in. They came to a pause after noticing Cole's sorry state. A state that even he was not aware he was in, due to his reliance on his [Demonic Constitution] to heal him.
He was bloodied and extremely gaunt. Cole looked like he had been starved for months and he was breathing heavily. Someone rushed towards him, but Cole raised a palm, stopping them in their tracks. "Don't worry about me, go help the others and no matter what! Make sure to secure that Core!" Cole ordered as he raised his hand up and pointed at the Core above him.
After hesitating for a moment the aspirants all rushed upwards, using all manner of skills to attack. Those who had no form of flight stayed on the bridge and attacked. This was enough of a chance for Eze to slip through and claim the dungeon core, much to the annoyance of Cole's aunt who let out a shriek of frustration as she slapped the head of an elf in anger.
Cole released a breath he didn't know he had been holding as he finally let himself relax. But the fight was not yet over. The remnant elves rallied around another elf decked in golden armor and even having golden wings. He carried a massive lance in his right hand that he had pointed at no one else but Cole. As one all of the elves seemed to have their countenance changed as the elf shouted.
"KILL THE ENEMY!"
The enemy in this case being no one else but a very tired and exhausted Cole who was at the end of his rope at the moment. He grunted in annoyance as he cursed softly, then the elves made their moves. And seeing as even with the other aspirants here they were still severely outnumbered, it meant that no one could stop the elves from getting to their target, which in this case is Cole.
Cole on the other hand just smiled as he shakily got back up to his feet and unsheathe [Black Malakai] in his right hand while he held [Azazel] in his left hand. With a great amount of pain he sunk into a stance immediately falling into it as he activated [Wrath Demon Drive]. the upgraded version of his [Wrath Drive] skill.
Cole's eyes turned completely black, but unlike the normal wrath drive that just had his eyes black, this one was different. There was a weird simple in red within his eyeballs. It was like a cross superimposed over a torii gate. Then the first elf reached Cole. He flowed dancing around the elf's arrow in almost slow motion as he came close and slid his sword under her jaw, then used [Sin Reaper] vitality rushed out of her body in Cole's and he took a deep breath.
His complexion improved as fired off a shot, blasting an elf out of the air as he turned and swung his word, suing [Black Cut] to release a beam of black light that rushed forwards to slash some elves in half while others defended against the skill. Cole swung his revolver, shifting it into it's hand cannon form as he blasting an arrow out of the air along with the elf that fired it.
He used [Sin Reaper] again, dragging out the vitality or another elf, and then another, by the tenth elf Cole was back to his full normal self. And just in time too, as the elf with wings and the lance landed from the sky, sweeping his lance towards Cole's neck.Cole used Gravity to defend against the attack, but it was still powerful enough to push him backwards, his body hitting a couple of other elves.
He grunted as he used [Sin Eater] to drag out energy, but there was a sharp yanking pain from his center, and a feeling of being too full. He was drained of energy, but he has pushed this body beyond the limit, he could not absorb any more energy, and would have to rely on his own regeneration. Which frankly speaking was coming along to slow for Cole, if he tried to push past this limit Cole could feel it…..he would turn himself to dust, and there would be no coming back from that.
"Guess we'll have to do this….the old fashioned way!"
