Getting paid for causing Chaos had to take the cake for the most satisfying experience in life, hit who was Cole to judge, he just liked the sight of and sound of money. It was weird really, Cole was never one to care for money, but recently he has been a little too hung up on his possessions and his money.
It was a change in character that had come along with a whole bunch of other things since he became a Raen, never the less Cole was rode with the rest of the company and about 200 other Raens who had met the qualifications to head to the next floor.
It was weird how there were different requirements to get to the next floor for each floor. But one thing that has somehow been consistent except for the weird 3rd floor that's actually the first universe to gain the system. Either ways to get to the next floor you had to go to a specific location….right even the 4th floor pulled you back after dumping you in random buildings for zombies and giant worms to eat.
But regardless they made it to the inn in record time, the building looked very different from what he had seen on previous floors, and weirdly enough there was a beam of light glowing up through the roof from somewhere in the building, what were the odds that those would lead him to the next floor. Cole shook his head and made his way into inn/bar.
Bob's bar was an extremely open area the size of a basketball court, with tables and waitresses moving about. For Cole the interior had never changed, and it only took him taking a second much harder look for him to realize that some of the people he had seen on previous floors, those that could be considered regulars, were still here.
Cole didn't understand much of what was going on with the floors, but he knew each one of them was carved out of a part of the system universe, well not carved out, but arranged for use to be the testing grounds for humanity. To what end, Cole wasn't sure he would ever be aware of that, but for now he could at least agree that Bob's building seemed to exist outside space and time, yet present in all of it.
Cole shrugged, even with all the power he has gained and the expansive knowledge that followed about the universe too, there were just some things that were beyond him and his comprehension. Perhaps he would get to that level of strength one day, hut until then, he would not be breaking his head apart in an attempt to understand the impossible.
lightsΝοvεl ƈοm The moment he goes through, the Company would be sent straight to the third floor. They were no considered allies or his possessions in a way, so the system would not be stopping those of them that are denizens from leaving with the aspirants. Cole looked up and realized that Bob was not at his counter, a quick look around let him noticed a portly man standing by a door to the side with the words 7th floor written in big bright letters.
Cole rolled his eyes, as if you could not be anymore obvious. He marched up to the door where the portly man, who he knew was Bob just from a feeling alone was waiting. His avatar this time was short though, about five foot, so he looked up at Cole, the bright smile on his face never vanishing.
"Night you never cease to surprise me, well don't let me stop you, through here is the path to the next floor. By this point you know the drill since the 3rd floor about how to deal with your people, they'll be sent to your territory on the third floor. I hope you don't have any unfinished business, the next floor will not be nice, especially since it will only be available to Aspirants that have reached Level 100.
Those who have gained the qualifications would be sent back to the third floor, or any other floor of their choosing to keep leveling up until they reach the 100th level. It should not be too hard for the Raens here, the lowest leveled of them is 98! You really are a race of freaks."
Cole blanched, as Bob turned and opened the door, revealing a gloom that could not be seen through. It was a far cry and sharp change from the brightly colored sign above the door that said 7th floor, Cole couldn't help the feeling that he was walking into a trap. He turned to Bob who looked up at him with a smile.
"if you pay I can tell you what is waiting for you beyond or rather what would be waiting as soon as you cross. Someone has paid me rather handsomely to make sure you get through, of course I can't force you, that's not my thing. I sell information and move the hand of destiny along, not that you needed to know that.
But ultimately I know you will go through this door, with or without my manipulation. However you have no idea what is waiting for you, as per our usual deal…I would give you the information you seek and you can go on." Cole looked at Bob then grinned at him.
"Hard pass old man, let's pick this up the next time we meet up. Let me see who would go through all this trouble to set a trap for me." Cole said as he walked through the door, as soon as it did so the door slammed shut and the colorful words above it changed from 7th floor to 7th floor: Ruins Of Tecoa Dungeon.
Eze who was also there turned to Bob and asked. "What is he going to face down there?" Bob looked up at Eze and chuckled at the larger man before saying one word, whilst walking away, his form vanishing from their eyes.
"DESTINY!"
