"I can regrow my arm, after all!!" Dilan shouted while his face was smeared with his own blood.
A tremendous amount of mana, nutrition, and life force was deprived of Dilan to fix his left arm. However, when his left arm grew back, seemingly out of thin air, Dilan's laughter filled the air and echoed all around him.
A layer of slime shrouded his left arm and it felt a little bit weird for Dilan to move his left arm. But other than the slight discomfort there was no difference in the capabilities of the left arm Arnes Cier was still holding tightly the newly grown arm!
"Y..You…what the hell are you?!?" Arnes Cier repeated his question, but now with a genuine trace of fear in his voice.
Dilan's smile would have widened if that was still possible but he merely shrugged his shoulders in return.
"How do you feel?" He asked, pointing at the empty area where Arnes' own left arm was supposed to be.
Dilan felt like bursting into laughter because his father was still bleeding severely. His body had yet to react to him losing his arm and stop the bleeding.
'His stats must be really low!' Dilan figured at this moment. He could tell that his father had only been powerful due to his Origin ability and the special Bloodline he had received.
The Bloodline gave him the power of darkness and light, with the darkness power being one of the utter destruction of physical things, while the light power attacked the spirit and the soul of a being!
Dilan survived both his soul and his body getting severely injured. This was due to the terrifying powers of his Origin ability. [Undying] truly did what the name suggested, it turned Dilan into an Undying being, whether it was his Soul or his body.
It repaired his body no matter what happened, even after losing an arm.
He had never lost a body part before, but his near brush with death in the incident with the meteorite shower had shown Dilan that [Undying] was a terrifying ability!
Several seconds of silence passed when neither of the two men answered each other's question.
However, despite the silence between the two fighting parties, the surrounding area was far from silent.
Billions of monsters were making their way toward the area between the two mountains.
Some stronger and faster monsters had already reached their destination and it was quite easy to see that they were munching on something.
"Oh, look, they're eating something!" Dilan pointed at a small monkey, holding two dice-shaped pieces of flesh from Arnes Cier's light-marked arm.
He began to laugh again, just to turn his head in his father's direction when a beam of darkness shot through his head. The lower part of the Golden Oni mask was destroyed and the rest was loosened.
The majority of Dilan's lower part of his face had been destroyed, it was not possible for him to breathe anymore, let alone speak, laugh, eat, or drink.
The fist-sized beam of darkness had destroyed his nose and entire mouth, but there was still a glint of joy in Dilan's sky-blue eyes.
It was almost as if these eyes were saying. 'You will never be able to defeat me!' and as if they were laughing at his opponent, ridiculing Arnes Cier for not being able to fight him.
Arnes Cier loathed this gaze to the core!
It reminded him about someone else, who never surrendered to him. No matter how much he beat him up, this one person never cried out in pain, never begged for mercy, and never gave up annoying him.
Arnes could not describe how much hatred he felt for those eyes that kept staring at him…no, not just him but deep inside his soul where everything he had hidden all his life was saved up and protected.
The Golden Oni mask was slowly loosening from Dilan's face, but he accepted that regardless. He retrieved the Cursed Dagger and summoned an Intermediate Destruction Spirit that merged with Xealtron before he issued a hundred Destruction slashes in the following two seconds.
Meanwhile, his eyes never stopped smiling and his mouth and nose started healing rapidly. It was only a matter of seconds before everything would be the same as before!
"Looks like you are still alive, son!" He roared out in the purest form of hatred as the Golden Oni mask finally fell from Dilan's face, revealing his handsome face bearing an expression of utter ridicule.
Arnes had no idea how this beast of a son could still be alive, not after he had sent hundreds of assassins after him the moment he ran away from home in order to make sure that his secrets would never be exposed.
The assassins had either returned without a sign of Dilan, or they had disappeared, turning into nothingness just like his son. Yet, not even his wildest imagination would have let him think that he would face his son just a few months after the Primordial Ascension had occurred.
Arnes had been at an advantage since the battle began, or so he had thought until he realized that his son had awoken a power that was just as disgusting as his entire existence!
However, Arnes was not the President of Arikan, the Savior of Milarn, or the strongest existence on the planet for no reason!
He would never allow a monster such as his son to overthrow him, let alone end his life!
The strongest beings of the Universe chose him as their Apostle, they provided him with the power to destroy all kinds of substances, and even souls and Arnes Cier would never allow himself to give up on the opportunity to keep using these powers until he could betray and kill those, who trusted him with their powers.
He was willing to do everything it took to become stronger, attain true strength, and rule over everything and everyone. His greed knew no bounds, and that was precisely the reason for the Primordial race to choose Arnes Cier as the best subject to wield the power of Light and Darkness!
Blessed with the marks, the powers would grow stronger with the wielder. At the same time, openly released emotions amplified the powers, which was why both the darkness and a light mark on his back began to glow brightly.
They began to move slowly, circulate and create connections with one another upon noticing that the excess port for light power had been destroyed.
The marks all over Arnes' right arm were merging, accepting both white and dark marks that spread out further, covering his chest and his whole neck.
"I will end you for good!... Finally!!" Arnes thundered menacingly, his voice causing the monsters below him to tremble in fright of death.
Dilan only glared at his father. Raging emotions were about to be unleashed from the depth of his consciousness as well but he couldn't shout out loud.
His mouth required another second or two to be fully healed. That was too long because several compressed YinYang balls had already formed in his father's right hand.
At the tip of each finger was a YinYang ball, and a bright smile appeared on his face as he forgot about his lost arm for a while.
The only thoughts left in his mind were about finding out ways of getting rid of the pest in front of him from his life, permanently!
"Rot in Hell!" He shouted, clashing his hand downward, releasing five streams of YinYang energy that were shot out like cobwebs.
'Well, that will be fucking painful…' Dilan thought, clenching his fists and storing away everything in his possession the moment he realized that his body seemed to be frozen in place, and was unable to wield mana or to activate [Instant Teleportation].
