Just like the Oracle said, Dilan didn't really trust her words. The Oracle knew way too little information about the Fate Changers to be able to conclude that he was in possession of the same True Undying Essence as someone she knew.
It was too much of a coincidence, even more so when she told him a bunch of additional pieces of information.
The Oracle never liked him, to begin with. Thus, there was no reason for her to reveal several secrets, all of a sudden.
'Who cares if some Void Walker, Titan, or whatever he may or may not be, has the same True Undying Essence as I have? Does that concern me? Not really!'
Dilan was not sure if he could trust everything the Oracle said, but it was also a fact that she gave her utmost to make sure that her Universe would survive. With that in mind, he could tell that there were a few things he could trust.
However, in the end, he would have to figure out a few things by himself.
'So when nobody remembers anything about me anymore, and even I forget about myself, Undying will let me die? That's pretty convenient when I am tired of living…'
Once the Oracle was done speaking, she didn't give Dilan much time to digest everything, let alone question what might have been truthful, what was a lie, and which pieces of information she didn't actually know the truth about.
She opened a golden portal and motioned Dilan to move toward it.
He looked at the Oracle for a few seconds, before he heard another piece of advice from her.
"You might have studied and practiced most techniques to perfection inside here, but your body and mind won't be able to adjust that fast to the influx of information you will receive. You will understand when you return to Milarn…" She said and Dilan nodded his head, thankfully for the advice she gave.
And it was just when Dilan stepped through the golden portal that he heard the Oracle's voice once again.
"Milarn changed quite a lot as well, not only you. Survive!"
'This woman is really confusing. Does she hate me or not? If she doesn't know, she shouldn't treat me nice at one point and like a bitch the next second!!'
Dilan didn't know the answer to the Oracle's ever-changing attitude but he knew that he would like to beat her up, sooner or later.
Without anything to do other than curse the Oracle, Dilan quickly grew bored. It would take a few minutes for him to return to Milarn and he was quite excited about it.
Not only was he more than ready to see his family and the remaining bunch of Ascenders once again, but he was also quite glad to be able to use his abilities once again.
Using the techniques he had learned, in combination with a large number of abilities and item abilities that were in his possession made him smile.
He was also ready to kill a bunch of Tier-5 existences if that was necessary to meet up with his family.
'Almost 27 years should have passed in Milarn, and the rest of the universe, since I left for the City of Trials….I changed quite a bit, but the same should apply to everyone else as well….'
Dilan started to worry about his family once again but before he could think too much about them a bunch of system notifications appeared in front of him.
[Welcome back host!]
'Huh…'
[A Spark of Divinity has been perceived within the Host. Customization of the System can now be accessed. Congratulations!]
[The host is now given the chance to adjust to the System's appearance and Log to his liking. Remark: the functions of the system won't change. This is just for the sake of personal preferences! If the host doesn't like this feature, he might as well abandon the system after not using it for 10,000 years! Hmpf!]
'What the hell…are you sulky??'
Dilan was momentarily stunned as he stared at the blue holographic screen that had popped up in front of him. He grimaced at the content and was not exactly sure what to reply.
No word escaped his mouth for almost a minute, until he finally found his senses.
"I don't really think that it's worth it for me to see my stats, and level anymore…the statistics are useless, considering that I will fight stronger, higher ranked, opponents either way… I know what changes when my abilities upgrade, so I don't even need to look at them either…" Dilan thought out loud, ignoring that the System seemed to have been sulking because of his departure for a 'few' years.
'I like that I can access shops and that I can communicate with others rather easily. That's probably everything I need…'
"System, please stop sending me useless system notifications. Only messages from others are important, similar things like that, and when I clearly ask for it. I still want to be able to access all messenger functions and the shops. As for the rest, it will be the same as the messages are handled, only do what I say!"
Dilan didn't really show any mercy to the system, even after it had shown pretty clearly that it was sulking. The system of the Primordial Ascension had been created to help in the fight against the Veilures. It was supposed to give birth to numerous Lesser Gods, and provide the necessary support Lesser Gods required to become True Gods.
Dilan knew all of this by now, which was why sulking didn't really do anything to him.
'If I combine the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique and continue hunting powerful monsters, there shouldn't be too much of a problem for me to keep advancing quickly…though, I'm not sure if I need to advance quickly once I create a perfect synergy when fighting with my techniques exerted and abilities activated!'
With that in mind, Dilan prepared himself for the arrival on Milarn, and it was not long after that he finally arrived.
"I'm back!"
