Wiping the blood from his chest, Dilan left the Sanctum.
"Why did I even learn the monster tongue if this bitch doesn't listen to me?" He cursed out loud, trying to strangle the Great Wise in his mind.
Dilan had been forced to learn so many languages to study all the books that had been given to him by the Great Wise that he was not even sure how many languages he was proficient in right now.
He could summon the system and ask it about the rank of his Language Comprehension passive ability but that was not exactly helpful.
Whether his ability was at the second Tier or the fifth Tier didn't change a lot for him anymore.
'The next target should be the…Cavernous Town,'
With his next target set, Dilan went on his way. He tested the use of his abilities if something changed after not using them for 10,000 years, and how compatible his abilities were with the techniques he had learned.
Exerting the Zephyr Step movement technique, he noticed a few things that bothered him. It was almost as if his proficiency had decreased just because he returned back to Milarn. That was quite bothersome, and it was also the reason why he tested the other techniques without further delay, just to notice the same.
'Is that what she meant? So annoying…'
Dilan didn't really want to learn his techniques from scratch, which was not the case to begin with, but he was still a bit bothered that he didn't retain his perfect mastery of the techniques he learned with so much effort.
Unfortunately, he couldn't change the situation, so he might as well accept it.
The only thing that brought him joy was the True Destruction Trait.
He could summon the Destruction Domain in a range of five meters and create several layers of Destruction in an instance. It didn't even require too much mana, which made things even better.
That was something he had noticed when beating the shit out of the Spider Queen in the hope that she would start speaking facts rather than screeching around like the annoying charade she had put on.
After advancing to the fourth Tier Dilan had grown quite a bit stronger. Adding the fact that he used the final stage of the Perfect Essence Cultivation Technique to absorb the natural Essence that swirled around everywhere in his surroundings, and that he absorbed the Essence crystals of the monsters he killed, his raw strength was bound to continue to increase rapidly.
That was what Dilan looked forward to but his focus was more on his family and reuniting with everyone.
Thus, he changed his approach to the given situation a little bit.
Dilan used Will of Thunder and Second Acceleration to increase his speed before he used his comprehension of Green Magic to further accelerate his speed by, at least, 50%.
His speed accelerated nearly to the same extent he could reach when using Zephyr Step with perfect mastery.
Yet, instead of using the Zephyr Step movement technique, Dilan knew that he could focus more on his surrounding area and proper execution of the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique with his abilities activated.
The abilities he had bound to his Essence crystal could be activated and maintained with a simple thought. He didn't have to make sure that he wouldn't make a single mistake, or he would lose a foot or even both feet. That would be quite annoying.
Charging through the Shikan plains, Dilan noticed that the number of monsters was far lower than he had expected.
'Where are the hordes of monsters clashing with each other and a third, fourth, or even fifth party intervening to reap the biggest gains and become the Overlord of this small piece of land? Did I overestimate Milarn's Fourth Awakening or did I miss out on the biggest clashes?'
Dilan was not sure what was going on, but he couldn't see much even after he activated the Mystic Eyes, a technique the Great Wise and the Fallen Celestial had taught him. It was a technique that allowed him to see the mana currents and essences in the surrounding area.
He could even see what ought to be hidden from mortal eyes as long as he utilized enough mana to the Mystic Eyes.
The Mystic Eyes were equivalent to Rory's Draconic sight, which was also why he had learned the technique rather easily.
Rory's early support had been rather helpful in that regard.
'Wait…did I really just forget about Rory?!?'
Dilan activated the Soul Space ability and he entered the deepest parts of his subconscious to figure out how Rory was doing.
He could have looked after her the moment he arrived in Milarn. That would have made things a lot easier.
Thus, ignoring his father's drained Soul, Dilan focused on his Soul Link with the Red Dragon.
The Soul Fragment of the Red Dragon vibrated violently, surprised about the reconnection with Dilan, and his eyes began to glister brightly.
"I know where you guys are!"
Dilan could clearly feel where Rory's Soul Fragment led him. His heart palpated wildly at the thought of his reunion with his family and he didn't hesitate even for a shred of a second as he summoned powerful winds to accelerate while he adjusted his trajectory.
Taking a deep breath, he burst forth with a speed he could have never attained, let alone maintained as Tier 3 existence.
However, things had changed, he was back in Milarn and it was about time to make up for the time he had been away.
Only minutes passed before a humongous battlefield, covered with corpses and blood emerged in front of him.
Two foreign races entered his sight…very familiar races at that.
"Rasnian and Ligrav…long time no see, I guess…" Dilan thought out loud while looking at the monstrous number of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of Rasnian, Hawks with the physique of a human being, and Ligrav, Lions with the physique of a human being, charged at the less terrifying number of one or two hundred thousand winged monsters that were giving their utmost to obliterate their opponents.
Dilan was pretty sure that the monsters could gauge their chances of victory in this battle. There were more than enough Tier-4 and Tier-5 monsters with enough intelligence to put one and one together.
But even then, they didn't back off…or was it that they didn't have anywhere to back off anymore?
Dilan flew high in the air with his Mystic Eyes still activated. He wanted to get a better view of the situation to see what was going on.
His fists were itching for a fight to test the true extent of his powers after leaving the City of Trials and the Rasnian and Ligrav were the best targets he could have wished for.
Dilan hated them and it would certainly feel great to eliminate an army consistent with millions of members.
However, he first had to find Rory and his family, which was of far more importance.
But something particular attracted his attention all of a sudden.
"Humans…there are humans riding on the monsters!"
