The Skill that Arthur looked at seemed like a rare skill.

"While there are rare skills, I don't think I've heard of this skill before…" Arthur muttered.

It was normal for the players to not know about all the skills in Morpheus Online. After all, there were simply too many of them and a majority were yet to be discovered. Not to mention, new skills could also be created, which made knowing about all skills impossible.

Even in the forums, that had detailed information about skills, there were several skills that were either missing or kept hidden intentionally by players.

'Was this also kept hidden, perhaps?' Arthur wondered. 'No rather than that, it is likely they simply didn't discover it.' He thought.

"But then again, the requirement of the skill does make it incompatible for nearly every spear user…" Arthur read the information.

——

The skill was certainly different than other spells that Arthur had seen so far. It made him a bit confused, as the requirement almost made it unusable.

'There are no players that would be both spear and spell users at this level. While there are magical spear skills too, those are obtained after a class upgrade.' Arthur thought of the higher classes that were also spear users.

For example, paladins could also use spears and also had their own spells. Some of their spells could be executed with spears, and as such, they would fit the requirement for this skill.

"But it would make this skill obsolete as there are several better ones." Arthur was confused about the skill's existence. "Still… it actually works for my situation." He smiled due to the fact that Dragomancers could use spells too!

Magic was something that Dragons were highly proficient in it. For a class that was so highly based on them, Dragomancers were also able to use it. Of course, Arthur still needed to acquire the actual spells to be able to use them.

The only reason he hadn't done so far was because of the cost.

"But with this skill, it just might be worth it." Arthur muttered.

Having made his decision, he went to Emma.

"I've made my choices." Arthur spoke to the woman who was in the middle of sorting a shelf.

"Oh? Which ones are they?" She asked.

Arthur showed her the skill books he had chosen and let Emma withdraw them. No one other than the person running the skill hall could touch the books anyway, as the security spells would simply not allow one.

This prevented anyone from stealing the skill books.

After all, they had quite a lot of value.

"Let's see… Rapid Thrust, Wide Sweep, Spear Arts, Spear Coating? And… Frost Touch? Huh." It was clear that the woman found the choice of skills a bit strange. "Are you sure of the Magic spell book?" she asked for confirmation.

"Yes." Arthur replied.

"Very well." Emma didn't deny him and calculated the price for the skill books.

Since there was no actual restriction on buying the skill books themselves, the NPC wouldn't really stop the players even if they didn't fulfill the requirements for using them.

"The total cost will be about two gold and seventy silvers," Emma stated.

Arthur raised his brows at that but, knew that it was still within his budget.

"I'll take it." Arthur said before handing her the coins.

"Come back if you want to get more." Emma said while waving her hand as Arthur left. "Strange adventurer…" she muttered.

Once Arthur left the Class change hall, he quickly took a look at the skills.

"Dragon's insight!" Arthur directly used the skill to obtain more information.

After all, he was unable to see all the details of the skills.

Seeing the full details of the skill, Arthur was intrigued. Especially by the Spear Arts and Spear coating skills.

'Hmm, using Dragon's Insight actually shows the exact amount by which the Spear Art's boost one's abilities. Before this players had to work out the math themselves.' Arthur thought.

It was a passive skill that would be helpful in general and would automatically improve as long as Arthur used a spear. Another good thing about it was that it could stack with other passive skills that boosted one's stats and abilities.

The next was the Spear Coating skill.

Looking at the actual effects of the skill made Arthur pleased about his choice.

"The option to activate it at a later time is great. I can not only surprise an enemy with it, I can even inflict greater damage with the combination. Plus I won't have to worry about casting time of spells either." Arthur said with joy. "Even its cost is low."

Then there was Frost Touch.

It was honestly a spell that most magic users wouldn't even glance at due to its glaring weakness.

It was a close combat spell and would only work if the player actually touched the enemy. This went against the general play style of most magic users as they were intended to be ranged damage dealers.

Though to somewhat offset this, the effects of the spell were relatively good. It had a chance of freezing the enemy, as well as slowing down their movement.

The latter was what Arthur had picked it for, as he was using his speed to overcome his foes.

'If the spell can slow down the enemies, I'll have a better chance at fighting.' Arthur thought. "Plus it even has a thirty second time. It's basically an elemental buff from a mage at this point."

The complications of the Frost Touch spell were also why its cost was lower than most spells and why it could fit in Arthur's budget. If he had gone for some other higher damage dealing spell like fireball, it would have cost Arthur at least fifty silver coins.

'I'll still be able to buy them later on. If I match the right spells with Spear Coating, I'll be able to turn them into an entirely new form of hybrid skills. It'll certainly be able to throw off both mobs and players.' Arthur thought with excitement.

Satisfied with his choices, Arthur quickly got to learning the skills.

>Do you want to learn the following skills: Rapid Thrust, Wide Sweep, Spear Coating, Spear Arts, and the spell Frost Touch?<

"Learn!" Arthur ordered.

>Player Arthur has successfully learned the skills and spell!<

"There we go," Arthur glanced at his extended list of spells and smiled.

Done with this, he wondered what he should do next.

"Hmm… I may as well check it out, since I don't have much time left."
