"These are… so good…" Arthur said while stuffing his face with dumplings.
ραΠdαsΝοvel.cοm He had ordered three kinds of dumplings; fried pork dumplings, steamed veggie dumplings, and barbecue shrimp dumplings.
Arthur couldn't remember the last time he had eaten dumplings, and they were definitely not comparable to these ones.
'If these are this good in delivery… how good would it be in person?' Arthur couldn't help but wonder.
>Player Arthur's hunger has been replenished to 100%<
Feeling content after the meal, Arthur once more sprawled lazily. But this time his target was the bed!
"Man… if I didn't have the Dream Pod, I'd be rolling around in this all day." Arthur said while stretching his limbs fully.
While Dream Pod V3 allowed one to sleep well, one couldn't exactly sprawl open on it. Only on a proper bed would it be possible. Though some people also had issues fitting into the Dream Pod V3.
The device was large enough to fit most people, but not everyone.
For people who were simply too tall, or wide to fit in a normal Dream Pod V3, Hypnotek had a solution too. They offered bigger sizes of the Dream Pod V3 as well.
The cost was almost the same and the only difference was in the delivery costs as those varied according to the weight of the device itself. Hypnotek had made it so that they would not alienate any of their customers.
They wanted to completely capture the market and it required them to fill the needs of even the most obscure customer base. They even had some custom Dream Pods for the more 'elite' class.
One could very well have something opulent like their Dream Pod V3 plated in gold, or have something simple like their name engraved on it. Though the internal systems of all devices were the same.
Compared to Arthur's previous bed which may as well be a stiff sheet of cardboard this was like a cloud in the sky. He fully enjoyed the queen sized bed for half an hour before scrolling through the feed on his phone.
"Hmm… there are a lot of articles about Morpheus Online now." Arthur noticed.
>Hypnotek Delivers on its promise! Morpheus Online is the most immersive and realistic VR game ever!<
>Sales of Dream Pod V3 on the rise due to the appeal of Morpheus Online<
>E-sports teams looking into formalizing a contract for Morpheus Online already? Are the pros up for the new challenge?<
>Pains of the new players. Blood and injury common in Morpheus Online!<
>New Regions to get access to Morpheus Online<
Reading the top news headlines, Arthur saw that almost all of them were about the game.
The very first headline was a follow up on an older article that Arthur had read. People had been wondering whether the game would really be up to the great exceptions that had been placed on it.
They were doubtful, but now all of them had been completely blown out of the water.
Attached to the article were several photos that had been taken in game. They showed various landscapes.
Arthur could see different newbie villages of various styles, forests, mountains, hills, rivers, and even deserts!
"There's actually enough users for them to reach the desert newbie villages. That was a bit faster than I thought." Arthur muttered.
There were many newbie villages and they were located in different biomes as well. While the majority were simple and located near forests, there were some that were also located in harsher areas like deserts or snowy mountains.
Of course, being difficult places to start, the players got an increased amount of support from their NPCs too, so as to maintain the balance. After all, choosing which newbie village to start from was not possible for most players.
Even Arthur was only able to pick Kestrel Village, since it was literally the first village according to the id numbers and that it was started as a debut at the Hypnotek gallery.
For all others, the choice of village would be rather random and one could end up in any of the newbie villages. There were nearly a thousand of them already after all.
Moving on from the first headline, Arthur looked at the third one regarding the E-sports teams.
It mentioned the confusion among the teams on how the teams would be monetized and how would the sponsorships would work in the future. There was no direct way to add sponsorships to the game, after all.
"Hmm… so they are already having conflicts in setting up contracts. That does make sense, after all, they won't be able to use the standard competitive gaming contracts like before." Arthur muttered as he read the article.
"Though once the Streaming function is fully launched, they'll figure it out too." He reckoned.
Thinking about streaming though, gave Arthur a new idea. It was not something he would have done before, but now he had a different approach to it.
'With the Veil of Thousand Skins, I might just be able to use a disguise to stream my gameplay. And I'll still be able to keep my class hidden.' Arthur thought about one of the most lucrative ways of making money in a short time.
He also knew that if he officially went into streaming, he would have to reveal his real identity. But that could not be associated with the Dragomancer Class.
Arthur hadn't forgotten Zaddreus's words and wanted to be cautious.
'I'll just have to obtain more skills, so that I can disguise my class perfectly.' Arthur thought to himself.
The main issue that he had was about his weapons and equipment. While he could change his appearance, doing the same with his equipment was not an easy thing.
Of course, he had the option of buying or obtaining more equipment, but he wouldn't be able to carry them exactly.
"To play as two personae, I'll have to keep the equipment split. But if I carry them along, it would not be viable. People would find out quickly." Arthur knew.
