With the last percent of the experience, Arthur finally hit level 18.
"Phew~ it was feeling really uncomfortable to let it hover so close to the next level." Arthur said as he glanced at his status.
He didn't add any free stat points and let them be for now. Just by comparing his base stats with the Bandit Captain that Arthur had faced before, he couldn't help but laugh.
"If I face him now, killing won't be an issue at all. Even with their entire group, it'll only be a matter of time and effort to kill them." Arthur smiled.
Without any Free stats added, Arthur was already stronger than an NPC that was at level 21.
Not only did his stats exceed them, but he also had skills that would allow him to fight better than before.
It filled him with a lot of confidence and made him a lot more positive about his plan.
'If I level up again and add the free stat points, I'll be able to raise almost all stats by 10 points.' Arthur thought.
Hitting level 19 would leave Arthur with 80 Free Stat points, which he would be able to add to each stat equally.
It also made Arthur think of a few more things and gave him a better perspective on his plan.
'Even if I'm unable to reach level 20, I can still compensate by using the free stat points. Though it is best I do it without them and save them for an emergency.' Arthur thought.
If he was in an emergency and needed to escape, he could very well add his stats to Agility raising his speed by a lot.
Of course, he wouldn't necessarily add all of them.
Though there were a few players that did concentrate all their free stat points on a particular stat.
Arthur was reminded of a player that was known to be the fastest in Morpheus Online. His name was Jet and he was an insane player that was addicted to speed.
He poured almost all his stats into Agility leaving only the bare minimum in order to be able to survive.
It didn't help that his class was also that of a Thief who naturally had Agility and Dexterity focused class. Later on, he went on to discover and obtain a Hidden Class that expanded upon the Thief class.
'Jet the Blinking Thief…' Arthur recalled the man who was a pain in the ass for several guilds.
Having great speed meant he could have the 'Fatal hits' on bosses and other mobs, kill stealing them and netting him the most experience. If that wasn't all, he was also fast enough to steal loot from mobs and players, making them unable to react to him at all.
There were thousands of players that hated the man with a passion and understandably so.
'Jet started off with the common class of Thief and a majority of his free stats into agility… being a Dragomancer grants me a lot more stats so I can very well add similar amounts to Jet and still have leftovers.' Arthur was actually tempted.
Due to the higher number of stat points that Dragomancer Class gave upon level up, as well as the ability to obtain stats by killing Draconids and other related creatures, Arthur wouldn't have the disadvantage that Jet had.
'Though that is something I shouldn't do unless I'm forced to. I'll just save the stats for now.' Arthur thought to himself.
Plus, he didn't necessarily need to restrict himself to what Jet had done either.
There were other players that focused on singular stats as well.
One could focus on strength and become a melee glass cannon or on vitality to become a blood bag. They could also focus on toughness to turn into a great tank.
Arthur had a lot of options that he could utilize.
'And with the Veil Of Thousand Skins, I can even give them different identities if needed.' He thought to himself.
With all the possibilities that were opening up to Arthur, he couldn't help but feel a lot more thrilled about the future.
Thinking about all this made the time pass faster, and Arthur ended up reaching Roran Town. He didn't really face any more mobs after the Milen Grind Back beasts and due to his improved speed, he was able to get to the town earlier than expected.
"I still got a couple of hours left, perfect," Arthur muttered before unsummoning Brambles.
With that done, he entered the town and quickly made his way to the office building of the Guard Captain. The guards in the town watched Arthur and his appearance, wondering just what had he gone through.
With the many scorch and burn marks on his armor, as well as the damage done to it, it didn't exactly look that good for him. Arthur ignored them all though, and simply focused on getting to the office.
Once Arthur was at the office, he turned right and headed straight into the room where the staff handling bounties sat.
~CREAK~
As soon as Arthur opened the door though, all the staff members sitting there looked at him. Their calm gazes turned into that of concern as they made out Arthur's condition.
ραndαsΝοvεl ƈοm "I'm back with another bounty completed!" Arthur said out loud.
"Adventurer Arzhur, are you fine?" The staff sitting at the first desk couldn't help but ask.
"Ah yeah, I'm fine." Arthur said, while looking at his scorched armor. "I don't have any injuries. The armor took it all."
"I see… Well, that's some good news." The staff member replied before glancing at the two rolls of pelt on Arthur's back. "Is that…" Seeing that, the man narrowed his eyes.
"Yes, the Ember Bellow Lizard." Arthur confirmed.
"But why are there two pelts?" Another staff member walked over.
"Because there were two of them," Arthur replied.
"And… you killed both of them?" The staff member gulped.
"Of course." Arthur answered casually before putting the pelts on the table. "Take a look."
