The registration for the Dream Pods was relatively simple. Other than linking it up with an ID, one also needed to register their biometrics in it.
But for the Dream Pod V3, there was an additional requirement.
The Dream Pod V3 not only took the above but also took a sample of their blood, thereby creating a DNA record. This feature wasn't just for security though, it was actually linked with the upgrades that the new Dream Pod had.
The three versions of Dream Pods, V1 to V3, were actually part of a class of technologies called as Dreamtech. And the Dream Pods weren't the only products within it. There were other versions of such tech launched by competing companies as well.
Then there were small products such as Sleep Dome, Dream Band and more that all worked on the same principle.
As the name said, Dreamtech was a class of technology that capitalized on the user's ability to dream. They could make use of it to create different scenes and more allowing one to have a varied form of experiences.
Out of all of these, Dream Pods were considered as the most comprehensive and highest level of Dream Tech. One could even say a Dream Pod combined all products into one, delivering an experience that could not be felt otherwise.
And the Dream Pod V3 took it a step further.
With its DNA records, not only could it monitor the host's vitals and condition a lot better, it could even deliver accurate feedback that would be almost the same as real life.
There was a reason why Hypnotek had especially promoted Dream Pod V3 for the launch of Morpheus Online. After all, if one wanted the true 'immersion', they needed to have the Dream Pod V3 to do so.
There were even claims that the Dream Pod V3 would have additional expandability in the coming future. As for what it could be used for, it was as vast as one could think of. From intensive care for patients all the way to complete mind rehabilitation.
There was no lack of assumptions that had been made. Hypnotek didn't make any effort to restrain these growing expectations either, some of which bordered on wild, so people only thought accordingly.
Though Arthur knew that most of these had come true, or would come true in the future.
And if not for the Dream Pod V3, it would come for the future versions.
With all this in mind, Arthur quickly finished his registration. He first scanned his ID with the reader attached to the Dream Pod and then registered his biometrics. Once that was done, he moved onto the final part, which was the DNA record.

ραndαsΝοvεl ƈοm For the DNA record, a small cylindrical tube popped out of the device. It had a diameter that was perfect for a thumb to fit in and would automatically adjust if someone had larger fingers.
"Once you finish this, your Dream Pod V3 will be ready, sir." The store associates instructed.
"Alright." Arthur nodded his head and inserted his thumb into the tube, prompting it to be pricked.
~DING~
>DNA Recorded!<
>User Confirmed: Arthur Grey<
The Dream Pod's notified before lighting up.
A string of data appeared on its translucent lid, showing up the starting process before fading away.
Then with a low hiss, the lid opened up, allowing one to see the soft bedding inside. All of it was adjustable and would automatically conform to the user's body shape once one sat in it.
This was one of the features that had been there since the launch of Dream Pods.
"Would you like to do a maiden run, sir?" The Store associate asked. "A few demo programs are already installed. Though if you want you can also log into your Hypnotek account and directly use your authorized applications."
As much as Arthur wanted to get a feel for it, he knew it was not the time. It was about five pm and he still needed to return home. The Skytrain would take two hours to return, after which he would still need to get food.
"No… I'm fine for now." He shook his head.
"I see…" The clerk said before taking out a tablet. "Then where would you like for the Dream Pod V3 to be delivered?" he asked.
Now this was the point that Arthur had been waiting for.
"I'd like for it to be kept here." Arthur replied. "If I recall correctly, there will be a special event for the launch of Morpheus Online, right? I'd like to be here for that." He stated.
"Ah! Yes! Of course, it will be one of our biggest events ever." The store associate said with excitement.
"Will that be fine then? I'll come over on the day of the launch." Arthur asked for confirmation.
"There will be no issues. I'll be looking forward to your patronage again." The store associate said. "Oh, and before you go…" the man typed something on his tablet before Arthur heard a notification sound on his phone.
"I've sent you the official invitation for the Launch event. I hope you have fun on the launch day." The store associate said.
Arthur read the invitation and saw that there were actually quite a few events set that day. Not only was there the game's launch itself, there were also going to be several interviews from Hypnotek officials.
'Oh? They are coming too?' Arthur could read the name of several pro players from his past life.
While these were people that were famous even now, he knew that some of them would become even bigger later on.
'Maybe this'll be better than I thought…' Arthur took note of everyone of importance. 'At the very least, I get to eat at an unlimited buffet, haha!' the last part was the biggest temptation for him.
Done with all this, Arthur quickly left the gallery and made his way to the Skytrain station. He had skipped lunch and needed to eat, after all.
'Though I'll have to wait till I'm back… the food here will be expensive.'
