The union credits generated by the post wasn't enough to pay off the loan, but it was more than enough for Arthur to be able to improve his current lifestyle.
"This is still a lot more than what I've made in the past couple of months of work…" Arthur couldn't help but think.
On an average, Arthur would make a little over a thousand UC every month. This amount would also vary depending on how many jobs he was able to do and whether he got work or not. After all, he had several jobs that he would try to do, sometimes even taking on three jobs or more in a day.
And from the amount that he made, roughly half would end up going towards rent, and another quarter towards utilities. The rest was used by him for food, but even then he had to scrimp and save at times. But now, Arthur had made the same amount in merely a couple days.
"No… In reality it would just be a few hours. After all the post only went Online recently." Arthur muttered to himself. "Haha, perhaps even without playing Morpheus Online I might have been able to make a livable amount." He suddenly laughed.
But then a few seconds later he shook his head.
'A mediocre life is not what I want though. Such an amount won't be enough to satisfy me… I need a lot more to live the way I want.' Arthur thought to himself with determination. "And then… there is still Zaddreus and the mystery of Morpheus Online. I did make a promise after all." He said.
With his mind revitalized, Arthur prepared for the next step.
ραndαsΝοvεl ƈοm >Would you like to withdraw the Generated revenue?<
"Withdraw all generated post revenue." Arthur permitted.
>2157 UC shall be credited to the user Grey Watcher's account<
Then a moment later, Arthur saw the notification from the bank pop up.
~DING~
>2157 UC has been credited to your account<
>Total Balance: 2159 UC<
"There we go, that'll help me get some good food for the time being. And also the rest for this month." Arthur muttered to himself. "Hopefully that'll be the last month I pay rent here."
There was just a week left till the end of the month, and the rent was due soon. But Arthur didn't wish to live in this tiny apartment for any longer. Arthur hoped to move out by the end of this month and already had a few places picked as well.
'They should be available for rent.' Arthur remembered seeing several places available for rent in better areas.
While it was no city center, it was still a lot better than the district that Arthur lived in. Of course, the rent would be similarly priced.
'Depending on how much I make in the coming few days, I can pick out the right place. But I guess I can set aside about four or five thousand UC for rent at a place like that,' Arthur thought to himself.
The place he intended to rent wasn't anything big or too impressive. It was going to be a simple studio apartment that was good enough to live comfortably.
"I at least want a place where I can walk for ten seconds before hitting the wall." Arthur chuckled before searching for the places.
While he knew what places might be available, he still needed to confirm them first. About thirty minutes later, Arthur had a place picked out that was a decent fit for him.
"Hmm, this one should be fine." Arthur looked at the post.
>80 Square meter Studio Apartment at Honeysuckle Street<
Looking at the photos, Arthur imagined how he would set up the apartment. It wasn't just the matter about the Dream Pod V3 either, but rather the other equipment he wished to add in the future.
'Some fitness equipment is a must and I also need more appliances…' Arthur started thinking of things he'd need to add.
Fitness equipment was something that would help him better himself not just in the real world, but also in Morpheus Online. This was something that was discovered after a year of the game's Launch. Players had discovered that having better fitness and abilities in the real world actually allowed them to perform better in game.
It was to do with the mental links that one had and the adaptability that the body showed naturally. When the natural fitness of the real body improved, the game avatar could respond with better proficiency as well.
After its discovery, nearly all E-sports teams required their players to have a strict workout regimen. As for the top players, nearly all of them had personalized fitness coaches and dietitians, along with chefs tending to their health needs.
This was the extra support one needed in order to truly become a top player.
The effort needed was tremendous, thus many couldn't keep up with it. And here, Arthur had a lot of advantages.
'All the professional training plans were known by people over the years. I can get started on them early on, and gain an even better advantage.' Arthur thought to himself. 'And my body could always benefit from some proper workout.' He reckoned.
Due to having worked multiple jobs, many of which required physical labor, Arthur didn't have a weak physique in his past life. But the lack of proper food and nutrition still didn't let it reach the level it could. Not to mention, he still lacked rest and thus the proper development of his body couldn't happen.
But now he hopefully wouldn't have to worry about that.
'Honeysuckle Street is also near the train station as well as a shopping district. It'll make things convenient for me at least.' Arthur had thought of other things in picking the apartment too.
"Though getting there will take some time. It's about an hour away… Maybe I'll go there tomorrow to check." Arthur pondered on when would be the best time.
He reckoned that he should have more than enough money for rent and deposit in the week.
