Chapter 545 TICK-tock
TICK-tock, TICK-tock.
In the sky, a foggy clock with broken class shone underneath a greenish sphere, the sun. The clock hands slowly ticked clockwise, the sound echoing far and wide.
''Interesting…'' Isaac murmured while caressing his beardless chin. Then, he steered his attention to the surrounding environment. While the ground looked terrible, the nearby forest flourished alongside the tall mountains and hills.
However, those didn't attract his attention. Slightly further away, there seemed to be a big city. Abandoned factories adorned half of the city, the tall pipes sending layers of smoke to the sky.
''Am I alone here?'' Isaac wondered. However, the messages made him think otherwise. With such a message, it would be unlikely. However, who else would be able to find this place?
Or were there more entrances where both Players and New-Gen Humans could enter?
'Realm of Marksmen…' Isaac began walking to the far-away city, the pillar of smoke paving his way, 'If this is a realm for Marksmen… it meant that Kalzer and others couldn't be here. Meaning, there must be other realms for other classes, where they ended up.'
'But, what is the purpose for this Realm, and why did Arthur send us here?'
While thinking about several things, Isaac didn't focus his attention anywhere else. Therefore, he couldn't notice a gun barrel that peeked through a burnt house's cracked window. The barrel barely peered through the crack, and the cold-faced man slowly pulled the trigger.
Bang!
Spurt!
The bullet tore through Isaac's right shoulder, making a sizeable hole. The white Camouflage Outfit got stained in blood, forcing Isaac to his knees.
''What the hell?!'' Isaac held his bleeding shoulder and sprung to his feet. After kicking the ground, he explosively started running towards the far-away City. However, he was in the middle of a dead wasteland, without no cover, and the city was a kilometer away!
The sound also attracted others. Several more gunshots reverberated across the sky. The bullets came from different directions, some from City and some from the mountains.
Isaac pulled out a healing potion from his inventory and gulped it down. As the green liquid traversed through his throat, his bleeding wound healed. However, two other bullets tore straight through his body.
''Argh!'' The stinging feeling spread across Isaac's body. The pain sensation was negligible, but it made him feel threatened.
Bang, bang, bang, bang!
This time, the number of bullets increased. Four sharp-looking bullets traversed across the air. The accuracy was incredible, making Isaac impressed.
'Indeed Realm of Marksmen… they aren't some amateurs.' With a blue pool forming around him, Isaac jumped to the side. However, only managed to dodge three bullets, one of the bullets turned in mid-air and landed on his forearm.
''?!'' With a shocked look, Isaac couldn't help but admire, ''Like a Homing Missile…''

[-5 HP]
Because of the bloody wounds, every second, Isaac lost five HP. However, as soon as the four bullets arrived, another rain of bullets came from in every direction.
The sky was shrouded in flaming bullets. Everyone in the nearby vicinity had already found out about his current whereabouts. There was no one that decided to turn their gaze away. Even killing one person would be a successful day.
Everyone here was amazing Marksmen. They are able to hide perfectly. Thus, some of the sniper matches take up to a week.
''Haha… I am in trouble.'' Laughing with a strained look, Isaac weighed his opinions. There was less than a few seconds time to think. Even one bullet would kill him, making his mind think rapidly a decision.
'I can use Marksman of Space, but then what…' The whistling sound grew near; the bullets were one second away from landing on their targets.
'Do it, and don't think!' Isaac gritted his teeth and immediately activated Marksman of Space.
The bullets rained on the wasteland, destroying it. Every Marksman removed their fingers from the triggers. No one could survive that. However, as soon as the cloud of dust cleared up, there wasn't a hole-riddled corpse littering the ground. Instead, nothing!
The Marksmen frowned and looked around the wasteland. A few sharp-eyed people noticed a silhouette running towards the City. For some reason, the white-haired person managed to travel the distance of five hundred meters in an instant.
They shifted their aim, and after checking the wind speed and distance, they pulled the triggers. Another rain of bullets arrived in the sky; whoosh, and whoosh echoed.
''Their eyesight is even better than mine…'' While running away, Isaac thought with a strained chuckle. Even he wouldn't be able to see his silhouette through a layer of dust. There were some Marksmen with inhuman eyesight.
Isaac reached into the inventory and pulled out his precious Mosin-Nagant Sniper Rifle. He perked up his ears, counting the distance of the bullets. When he thought that they were only a second away from reaching his position, he spun around and fired.
Bang!
The bullet pierced through the air and landed on one of the enemy's bullets, stunning the onlookers.
''The bullet came from there…'' Isaac narrowed his eyes and calculated the time it took the bullet to travel to his position. According to him, the shooter must be near the mountain or even in the forest.
However, Isaac decided that it was better to find a hide-out, to calm his thoughts. Soon, he reached the City. Every Marksmen in near vicinity lost sight of him.
Soon, Isaac crashed into one of the abandoned buildings. The holes filled the walls, making it a terrible hide-out.
However, after walking upstairs, it wasn't as bad. The windows were non-existent, the floorboards broken. However, the walls were intact, even though slightly charred.
Isaac slowly crawled onto the dusty ground, hiding behind one of the walls.
''Haah…'' Checking the HP, it already reached below 100!
He quickly gulped down several healing potions. As the bottles continued vanishing into thin air, he soon reached his max health. However, there were only a few healing potions left.
TICK-tock.
The clock in the sky slowly ticked down. At this current speed, it would take 48 hours for it to reach the end. Meaning that the first Stage was far from being completed.
The Marksmen hid in their spots, some enjoying dried meat while others stayed on the lookout.
Then, at one of the caves near the mountain. A dark-clothed man murmured, ''He looked exactly like him…''
