Chapter 1547 Petty Lu Lijun

On the bustling wedding day, preparations were in full swing. Ming Lan couldn't help but feel a pang of worry as her carefully laid plans were suddenly thrown into disarray due to unforeseen changes.

Lost in thought, she found herself pacing in her bathrobe within the bedroom when Wen Zac made his entrance, his voice breaking through her reverie. "Come out."

"Huh?"

Without uttering a word, he exited the bedroom.

Perplexed, Ming Lan followed his lead and entered the suite's drawing room, only to discover a graceful woman engaged in conversation with Wen Zac, her lips adorned with a polite smile.

He turned to Ming Lan and introduced the woman, "My wife has arrived."

The woman bestowed a warm smile upon Ming Lan and offered a courteous nod, saying, "Mrs. Wen, good morning."

Returning the pleasantries, Ming Lan's eyes widened as she watched a group of elegantly dressed women enter the room, pushing a tall stand adorned with an array of beautifully crafted dresses and lugging substantial vanity cases along with them.

"They will assist you in preparing for the wedding," Wen Zac informed her.

A wave of relief washed over Ming Lan, who had been grappling with thoughts of how to manage her time. "Thank you," she said gratefully.

Under the meticulous care of the professionals, Ming Lan spent an hour being transformed. Finally, she stepped out of the side room and entered the drawing room. There, she found Wen Zac seated on the couch, engrossed in his mobile, already impeccably dressed in his wedding attire. His assistant, Wu Ren, was in the midst of providing him with some information.

Wen Zac looked up as his stunning wife entered, his eyes reflecting the sheer beauty before him. Ming Lan donned a resplendent royal blue dress, harmonizing with the shirt that Wen Zac wore. The off-shoulder design gracefully accentuated her shoulders and slender neck. Her delicate face was adorned with subtle makeup, and her hair was elegantly arranged in a bun.

The dress hugged her svelte, well-contoured figure, emphasizing her slender waist, an invitation to Wen Zac's longing to embrace her at any moment.

Noticing the silent exchange between the couple, Wu Ren signaled the stylist and her assistant to depart, following them out and leaving the couple alone.

Observing the intensity in Wen Zac's gaze, a delicate pink blush painted her already fair skin. She wanted to ask how she looked, but her husband's eyes had already conveyed their answer. Wen Zac approached her, standing face to face.

"You look stunning," he commented.

"Thank you," she responded, her voice tinged with shyness.

In the next instant, his arm wound around her slender waist, pulling her closer, taking her by surprise. "Are you truly interested in attending the wedding?" he inquired, his eyes smoldering with desire.

She swallowed nervously and stammered, "It's... my brother's wedding... I should..."

Her anxious response only fueled his desire further. He gently lifted her chin, making her meet his gaze. "I'll grant you this reprieve. But after this, I won't hold back."

Ming Lan comprehended his unspoken desire. She had made him wait for so long.

"Okay," she agreed.

He arched an eyebrow, as if surprised by her response. "It appears you're eager as well."

"Will you stop teasing me? We'll be late for the wedding."

"A wise man always listens to his wife," he quipped, releasing her but holding her hand as they left the suite together.

At the entrance of the bride's residence, the groom stood with his family members. Ming Rusheng was resplendent in a white suit, embellished with delicate accessories. His tall, handsome figure exuded the aura of a royal prince from a fairy tale.

"I can't believe we're entrusting our sister to this white Pegion," Lu Feng remarked to his brothers, his words carrying to Ming Rusheng's ears.

"Well, what can we do when our sister has chosen this... white bird?" Lu Lijun quipped.

In response, Ming Rusheng retorted, "I often wonder what both my sisters saw in the two of you. One's a sly fox, and the other's a big bad wolf."

"I see the Lu and Ming families have a theme going here," An Tian chimed in. "Shall I start a zoo?"

Lu Feng inquired, "When did you arrive?"

"I arrived just in time to witness three animals bickering over trivial matters."

Suddenly, a sweet voice from a little boy rang out, "Aunt Yuyu."

All eyes turned to a small figure who was being set down from his father's arms, dashing toward Yuyan, who was engaged in conversation with her mother-in-law. Yuyan greeted him with a warm smile, but her gaze shifted to someone whose expression darkened.

Yuyan was prepared to embrace Weiwei, who was making a beeline for her. However, before he could reach her, a strong arm swooped in, gripping the back of his suit jacket and hoisting him into the air.

"Put me down!" Weiwei protested, his little legs kicking in the air. He then turned to the person holding him. "Uncle Lijun, why are you holding me like this?"

Lijun's response was stern and cold, "Don't you know you can't hug another woman like this?"

The surrounding onlookers were taken aback by the sight of a grown man acting in a manner more befitting a child.

"He's just a child, Lijun," Yuyan interjected, her eyes softening as she glanced at Weiwei's forlorn expression.

"He's already six years old," Lu Lijun retorted coldly, casting a stern look at the little boy. "By the time you're six, you should know to maintain a certain distance from the opposite gender. Wasn't he taught this?"

Weiwei's face grew even more despondent, and he turned to Yuyan, seeking solace. "Aunt Yuyu."

"Lijun, put him down," Yuyan insisted, her voice carrying authority.

Lijun couldn't resist Yuyan's request, so he gently placed Weiwei back on the ground. However, he couldn't resist adding a final warning, "If you want to hug someone, find your own woman to do that with."

The onlookers remained speechless, unsure of how to react to this unusual exchange.

"I recall when you were a child, you were always by Yuyan's side," An Tian chimed in, chuckling at the memory.

Lijun countered, "That was after we got married," leaving everyone once again at a loss for words.

This guy was indeed quite a character.

Jiang Yuyan frowned at him and leaned down to Weiwei, gently patting his head. "Aunt Yuyu is wearing a delicate dress right now. I can't pick you up in this one. How about once I change into another dress?"

The little boy nodded in agreement. "I'll listen to Aunt Yuyu," he declared, then turned to Lu Lijun. "Uncle Lijun is mean."

Lijun narrowed his eyes at the little boy and then shifted his gaze to the beautiful woman beside him, addressing her with a soft voice, "Yuyan."

Turning to face him, Jiang Yuyan was taken aback as Lu Lijun hugged her in front of everyone, only to release her before her astonishment could fully register.

"Did I ruin your dress?" Lu Lijun inquired, acting as if he did nothing wrong.

She frowned at him. The excuse she had offered Weiwei now seemed futile. Weiwei gazed at her with a wronged expression. Jiang Yuyan pushed Lu Lijun aside, frustrated by his conflict with a little kid.

Wang Peng stepped forward and picked up his son. Like the others, he couldn't help but smile at Lu Lijun's unwavering determination, leaving little room for sympathy for the little boy.

Jiang Yuyan fixed a stern glare on Lu Lijun and assured Weiwei, "Aunt will give you a hug and a sweet kiss later. Is that alright?"

The young boy nodded with an elated smile. "Yes, Aunt Yuyu," he agreed, then cast a cheeky glance at Lu Lijun, sticking out his tongue.

Lu Lijun glanced at Jiang Yuyan. "I'll take double of that."

"Stop being so shameless," she scolded him before walking away. "Don't follow me."

Lu Lijun stood his ground, unfazed by the suppressed laughter from onlookers. He didn't mind being shamelessly devoted and resolute when it came to his wife.

"I always knew the Lu brothers were highly possessive, but this guy has taken it to another level," Jiang Yang commented. "My poor sister."

"Have you not seen Lu Feng yet?" An Tian quipped.

Jiang Yang glanced at Lu Feng, who chimed in, "Lu Lijun did nothing wrong."

As expected, these brothers shared the same uncompromising spirit, possessive and petty.
